WHITCHURCH residents are being asked to cast their votes on a picture that will be displayed on a boarded-up shop window front this summer.
Years 7, 8 and 9 students at Sir John Talbot School were commissioned to draw Whitchurch in a way they see it.
Constable Deborah Wheeler whittled the choices down to a long list of eight before approaching Chief Inspector Sarah Chaloner, Councillor Peggy Mullock and Nicki Young, a Shropshire Council enablement officer, for their top three.
This led to three pictures being chosen for a short-list and the options – seen being displayed by Cllr Mullock – will be on view at the Civic Centre until the vote closes on April 30.
Residents will select their favourite picture, which will then be displayed on the boarded-up windows of the former Ethel Austin store in the Bullring, with the intention to be exhibited at the Worldwide Whitchurch event in the summer.
PC Wheeler added the aim was to help stop anti-social behaviour.
