PUPILS at a school in Wales, near the English border, were delighted after taking part in a St David’s Day celebration last week.
Borderbrook School, in Tallarn Green, held the special event to mark Wales’ official saint’s day, as well as a mini-Eisteddfod.
Alison Kerr, a Key Stage Two teacher at the school for the past 18 months, was delighted with how the celebrations went.
She said: “The children enjoyed it a lot.
“We are a Welsh second-language school and it was good to celebrate our Welsh culture.
“Everyone got involved and enjoyed the day.
“We all celebrated the hard work the pupils had been putting in.
“It was great to see the efforts they made and that’s down to their parents.
“I would like to thank them for their efforts.”
