EDDISBURY MP Antoinette Sandbach has increased her share of the vote after she was returned last night.

The MP, who was first elected in 2015, increased her share of the vote from 51 per cent to 56.9 per cent, polling nearly more than 5,000 votes.

Labour candidate Cathy Reynolds also polled strongly, increasing her party's vote from 11,193 in 2015 to 17,250 this time out.

Liberal Democrat candidate Ian Priestner saw his share of the vote nearly halved while UKIP performed badly as John Bickley received only 1,109 votes compared to Rob Millington's 5,778 in 2015.
