FIREFIGHTERS in Malpas were called out to extinguish a smouldering car fire on Tuesday afternoon.
One crew from the village was sent to a car park in Broxton, off the A41 Whitchurch Road, shortly after 5pm.
The crew disconnected the saloon car's battery and used a hose reel jet to cool the vehicle down.
Firefighters also used a thermal imaging camera to monitor the car's temperature.
