A BARN fire involving 20 tons of hay broke out in Malpas on Sunday (April 10) afternoon.
The incident happened at an address Stevensons Lane at around 2.50pm.
Firefighters from Whitchurch were in attendance to assist their colleagues from Cheshire Fire Service's Audlem, Chester and Winsford stations.
A spokesperson said: "Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reel water jets to extinguish approximately 20 tons of hay on fire inside a barn building.
"A thermal imaging camera was later used to ensure the fire was completely out.
"Crews were at the scene for around four hours."
The stop call came in at 5.21pm.
