A CAR caught fire in Wem which has led to firefighters being called out on Thursday.
At 11.37am, Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as a car fire in Wem in Shrewsbury Road.

One crew from Wem was sent to the scene and tackled the car fire using two breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets, a thermal imaging camera and one misting lance to extinguish.
The stop message to control confirming no further assistance was required was sent at 12.33pm.
