GLADYS MAY JONES of Gronwen Farm, Morda passed away at home on 20th October 2009, aged 88 years. She leaves her daughter Doreen. Gladys was born in Stoke and she worked in the Potteries as an artist painting pottery. She moved to Chirk when her mother died and in later years became an occupational therapist at the Spinal Unit at the Orthopaedic Hospital until retirement. The funeral service and cremation took place at Pentrebychan Crematorium and was conducted by Rev. Stanton Evans. Family mourners were Doreen Evans (daughter), Graham Evans, Ruth Bennett, Stephen and Ella Morris, Susan and John Hughes, Glyn Jones, Mark Thompson, Peter and June Revel, Jim and Edith Costello, Amanda Hughes, Mike and Val Williams, Jennifer and Mervyn Jones, Lawrence and J Wright, Heulwen Howell, Joyce, Terry and Sarah Jane and Nance Povey. Other mourners were Rob Hood, Ifor Jones, Gareth and Gaynor Evans, Gareth and Tegwyn Jones, Tegwyn Jones, Margaret Hughes, Mair Thomas, Ceres Lloyd, Ederyn and Mary Lloyd, John and Eileen Gittins, David Jones Emrys and Sylvia Griffiths, Jen Jones, Nerys and Richard Edwards, John Edwards, John Law, Arora Lloyd, Jill Arnott, Graham Smout, Howerth and Josie Jones. Donations to the Spinal Unit at the Orthopaedic Hospital so far totals £390.10.
