MEIRION EDWARDS April 26th 2010, peacefully at Llangollen Hospital, aged 80 years, of Plas Einion, Glyn Ceiriog, his home for 53 years, farming for 36 years with his late wife Rita. Funeral Service was held at Seion Chapel, Glyn Ceiriog on May 1st, conducted by the Rev. Glyn Jones and the Rev. Eric Greene; organist, Mr Aneuryn Davies and precentor, Mr Hugh Lloyd. Bearers were Messrs Eifion Morris, Mike Gilchrist, Trevor Bates and David Lloyd. Ushers were Mr Danny Holt and Mr Ernie Griffiths. Mourners were Mr and Mrs Iorweth Jones, brother and sister in law, Mr and Mrs Mel Jones, Mr and Mrs Wyn Jones, Mrs Glenys Workmaster, cousins and many nephews and nieces. Thanks: The family of the late Mr Meirion Edwards wish to thank everyone who took part, and attended the service. Also for donations which amounted to £750 to be shared between Glyn Ceiriog Christian Centre and Asthma UK. Sincere thanks also to Simon of Tilstons Funeral Services for his valuable help.
