ANN LLWYD
HOWELL - Mrs Ann Llwyd Howell (Auntie Ann). Passed away peacefully at her Trefonen Home on 20th November 2010 aged 74 years. She leaves her devoted husband Ken and loving son Alex who will always miss her. She will also be sadly missed by her close family, nephews and nieces, friends and neighbours.
Ann was born in Plas-Yn-Glyn, Llanrhaeadr to Richard and Margaret Pugh and later moved to The Bwlch Farm, Trefonen along with her brother Iowerth and sisters Medi and Elizabeth.
On her marriage to Ken, a serving airman, in 1967, she accompanied him to Belgium and thereafter to other areas until 1984 when Ken completed his RAF service and both returned to Trefonen.
Roedd Ann yn h - ô - ff ac yn falch iawn o'r iaith gymraeg. Roedd cerdd, canu, dawnsio ac eisteddfodau yn agos iawn at ei chalon. She was one of the founder members of Oswestry Welsh Club (3C) which has just celebrated it's 25 years anniversary.
Ann was always happiest when she was outdoors maintaining her small holding and rearing her sheep. She also enjoyed meeting and chatting with new and old friends. She was a generous and kind lady who took great comfort and pleasure in helping others. Nothing was ever too much trouble for her. These efforts were recognised when Ann received the WRVS 30 year medal for her services to the various communities that she had lived in.
Ann's funeral was at Seion Chapel, Llanrhaeadr YM followed by interment at Llanrhaeadr YM cemetery on 27th November 2010. The service was led by Gwyndaf Richards, assisted by Raymond Hughes and Edward Yendall. The ushers were David Bailey and Fred Howell. Bearers were Frank Bailey, Delwyn Pugh, Peter Bailey and Richard Ellis. Organist was Julia Evans - Presenter Tom Morris.

THANKS: Ken and Alex would like to thank all relatives and friends for their kindness, sympathy and strong support shown to them at their sad and sudden loss. Also for numerous cards and messages of condolence received and for the large attendance at the service. Also, the generous donations given towards NSPCC, Wales Air Ambulance and Hope House amounting to £1000.
Special thanks to Carol Davies for flower arrangements and to the Pennant Ladies, Penybontfawr for organising refreshments, and to Rob and Phil of I Jackson & Sons for their care and support with the funeral arrangements.
