LEONARD MILTON JONES
(LENNY) - The funeral has taken place of Leonard Milton Jones (Lenny), who lived in Thornhurst Avenue, Oswestry and passed away at home on January 12th aged 84 years. He leaves Yolande, Ryan and Jake and Kian (grandchildren), Steven, Jessica and Emma (grandchildren), Evelyn (sister) Karen and Denise, cousin Helena and devoted family friend Colin amongst many.
A member of the Kings Shropshire Light Infantry during World War II, a service of 44 years on Oswestry Crosville and Arriva and a good friend to all.
The funeral service took place at St. Oswald's Parish Church with the burial at Llanerfyl Cemetery.
Sincere and warmest thanks to Ryan, Jake, Colin, Karen, Denise, Bryn, Julia, Rob, Helen and Aunt Lil (who has also so sadly passed). for your support and complete kindness. Loving thanks to the bearers, my brother Steven (Sydney, Australia) and my nieces and their families; Emma, Jessica, Claire and Shane (Brisbane, Australia).
Thanks to all other family, friends and colleagues who attended the service, funeral and wake and for the hundreds of cards and flowers sent. A special thanks to Karen and Nigel who organised the wake as dad requested.
Lenny (dad), you will be dearly missed. You are in our thoughts constantly and in my dreams always.
You were not only my Dad, you were my Best Friend. To my wonderful Dad.
