PATRICK NEIL JONES (NEIL) - The funeral has taken place of Patrick Neil Jones (Neil), who passed away suddenly at his home in Oswestry on 20th December 2010, aged 70 years. He was the devoted husband of the late Betty, treasured brother of Norma and Barry, brother-in-law of Olwen and uncle to many nephews and nieces.
Neil was born in Morda and brought up with his parents, the late George and Irené Jones, sister Norma and brother Barry. He attended Morda School and the Boys Secondary Modern. As a young man he played football for Morda United. He worked for several years as an Electrician and moved to Oswestry after his marriage to Betty, where he set up his own business, Neil Jones Auto Supplies. Before his retirement he worked for the Cheese Company in Oswestry. Neil enjoyed walking, music and supported Newcastle United Football Team.
The funeral service at Pentrebychan Crematorium, Wrexham was conducted by Miss Wendy Groom. Family mourners were Mrs Norma Jones (sister), Mr and Mrs Barry Jones (brother and sister in law), nephews, nieces,cousins and families.
