KEN JONES - The funeral has taken place of Mr Ken Jones (Ken 'Powerhouse' Monsanto (Ken-the-milk-Ruabon) who passed away at his home in Nant Parc, Johnstown on 14 July 2011, aged 78 years. He leaves daughter Dianne and son-in-law Christopher, sister Edith, nieces Mel and husband John, Heather, Barbara and Christine, great nieces Nicola, Beverley, great nephews Ricky, Gareth and Matthew, great-great nieces Stephanie, Charlotte and Chelcie and great-great nephew Jake.
Ken was a keen member of Llangollen Golf Club.
The funeral service was held at Pentrebychan Crematorium on 28 July 2011 and the service was conducted by the Reverend Jackie Carter. The bearers were Howard Edwards, Ricky Curry, Gareth and Matthew Peat. Other mourners were:- Ron Edwards (Cousin), Gareth Morris, Sue Hopwood and daughters Nicky and Ruth, Tony Williams, Kim Peters, Karen Czora, Peter Parry, Wendy, Gareth and Sian Parry, Tony and Anita Andrew, Andrea Beaverstock, Rob and Ade Evans, Barbara and Michael Huxley, Tony Jones, Allan Horne, Derek Roberts, Brian Cross, Brian Wright and a number of friends from Llangollen Golf Club, Sylvia Jones, Wynn Hughes, Neil Jones, Phil Jones, Representatives of the 'Tuesday Morning Gang' Jean Owen, Jean Evans, Janey Parrish, Kevin Roberts, Dave and Val Meek and many good friends, kind neighbours and former colleagues too numerous to mention.
THANKS: Dianne and Christopher Parry wish to express their appreciation and thanks for the may warm letters, cards and kind words of sympathy and support received from all family, friends, neighbours and former work colleagues during the sudden loss of Ken, a loving and supportive father and father-in-law.
Thanks to the Rev. Jackie Carter for such a warm service, and special thanks to Roberts Bros. Funeral Directors, for their attention to detail, thoughtfulness and resolute professionalism throughout, together with Trevor of Motor Cycle Funerals Ltd for his quiet dignity.
A special thank you for all the donations received in memory of Ken, amounting to £500 for Fybrosis Research.
