Barbara Olga Jones - The funeral has taken place of Barbara Olga Jones who lived at 8 Monkmoor Avenue, Oswestry and died at Royal Shrewsbury Hospital on 2nd August 2011 aged 89 years. She leaves three daughters, a son and seven grandchildren.
Formerly of The Pandy, Candy. Widow of the late Durham Jones.
The funeral service was at Pentrebychan Crematorium, Wrexham and was conducted by Wendy Groom, Parochial Reader.
Family mourners were: daughters Cecilia Clifford, Margaret Dunne, Cathy Hopkins, son John Jones. Grandchildren John Clifford, Claire and Paul Darlington, Holly and David Hopkins; Gareth Jones (representing Oliver Jones). Sons-in-law; Bryan Hopkins and Richard Dunne, daughter-in-law Sheila Jones, brother-in-law Bob Jones also representing Rhiannon, Bill Jones, Pat and family, Richard Jones, Bernadette and family, aunt Mabel Jones and daughter Jennifer Jones (Baschurch) also representing family, Christine and Lee Davies The Candy, Ken A. E. Roberts (Llanymynech) Colin Roberts (Trefonen) Ann Hampson (Rednal) representing Roger; Pat and Tudor Jones.
Other mourners were: Irene Jones, Alec and Lucy Langton, Paul Stockdale, Trish Brunt representing Zoe, Steph, and Saul Brunt. Hilary Bull representing John, Cynthia and Nelson Long, Bob and Mary Davies, Mary Renwick representing Lesley and Alan Durham, Sarah James, Dave Darlington, Heather and Mick Porter, Pam Lightwood representing Joanne Swannick, Brenda Hopkins, Glyn Jones representing Bet and Gwynfor, John Lynch.
Flowers were sent by the family, donations were to Cancer Research UK.
The immediate family would like to thank all family and friends for their kind expressions of sympathy during this sad time.
