Gwyneth Elizabeth Davies - Trefeiliw, Llangedwyn.
Passed away suddenly at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital on 23rd May 2012, aged 74 years. Dear wife of John Talog and beloved mother of Haf and Arwel. Mother in law of Phil and Rachel. Nain to Sam, Megan, Iestyn and Danny. Sister to Mai and sister in law to David.
Gwyneth was brought up at Glantanat, and later moved to Banhadla, Llangedwyn. On her marriage to John Talog in 1959 they moved to Tynygraig, Llangedwyn where they farmed for 35 years before moving to semi-retirement at Trefeiliw, Llangedwyn. She was an active member of Llanrhaeadr WI, and Merched y Wawr, and a staunch supporter of the Orthopaedic League of Friends, and Severn Hospice, and a member of Pentrefelin C.M. Chapel.
The funeral service was held at St. Dogfan's Church, Llanrhaeadr on Thursday 31st May. Officiating clergy were Bishop John Davies, Rev Gwyndaf Richards, Rev Raymond Hughes, Rev David Francis and Rev G.O. Jones. Organist was Mrs Mailys Evans. Bearers were Richard Buckley, Emyr Jones, Geraint Davies, Eifion Williams, Peter Williams and Geoff Ward. Ushers were Meic Jones, Tudor Vaughan, Gwyn Buckley, Glyn Davies, Richard Pugh and Huw Davies.
Donations were received in aid of the Gweinidogaeth Bro, Llanrhaeadr Y.M. Church and Llanrhaeadr Y.M. new Hall.
The family wish to thank everyone for their kindness and support, attendance at the funeral, telephone calls, sympathy cards and all who visited the family.
Sincere thanks to Rev Gwyndaf Richards and other members of the clergy, and also funeral directors I. Jackson and Sons for their kindness and co-operation.
