George Thomas Hampson - of Middleton Road, Oswestry passed away at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital on 21st May 2013, aged 80 years. He leaves wife Brenda, sons Keith and Paul, daughter Yvonne, son-in-law Colin, daughters-in-law Sue and Kath and six grandchildren; Ben, Thomas, James, Mathew, Daniel and Laura.

A popular businessman, well known locally for his sporting activities; football, snooker, and bowls, which he played and then became successful as a manager. He was always busy, but always had time for family and would relish those times when the family were all together.

THANKS: The family would like to thank everyone who attended the funeral service at St. Oswald's Parish Church, Oswestry, and for the generous donations totalling £432 for the British Heart Foundation. Thanks also to the staff at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, the Caxton Surgery, Rev. Simon Thorburn for conducting the service and to Nick Richards and staff at David Davies & Sons for the funeral arrangements.
