Eunice Morris -
of Tan Llan, Llanrhaeadr Y.M. formerly of Garreg Ddu, passed away at Welshpool Hospital on September 1st 2013, aged 84 years. She leaves her Children – Edgar, Rich, Tom, Ann and Dei.
Eunice was born in Plas Criafol, Maengwynedd to Richard and Sarah Morris, one of six children. She married Don in 1957 and moved to Garreg Ddu, where they lived until moving to the village in 2006.
A keen supporter of village events, concerts and a faithful member of Seion Chapel. Eunice enjoyed the Eisteddfod especially those involving the local children; in later years enjoyed the Clwb y Green trips taking her and Don to places all over Wales. Any visitor to Garreg Ddu or Tan Llan was always guaranteed a warm welcome and a paned from Eunice.
She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.
The service held at Seion Chapel, Llanrhaeadr YM on 9th September 2013 was led by Reverend Gwyndaf Richards, assisted by Raymond Hughes and Thomas Morris, Trewern. Burial followed at Llanrhaeadr YM Cemetery.
The organist was Mrs Julia Evans, ushers were Dei Williams and David Bailey. Bearers were Gwilym Owen, Hywel Morris, Alun Morris and Meirion Edwards.
Family mourners were: Edgar and Ann, Rich and Julia, Tom and Dei, sons and daughters in law; Ann and Huw daughter and son in law. Grandchildren – Delyth, Gwynedd, Barry, Helen, Leanne, Rhian, Bethan, Aaron, Ffion and Emily. Great grandchildren – Bedwyr, Osain, Anest, Isla-Sian, Iwan-Berwyn and Elin. William and Elizabeth and Berwyn – brothers and sister in law. Nephews, nieces and cousins.
THANKS: The family wish to thank everyone for their kindness at this sad time, for the many cards, large attendance at the funeral and the generous donations received amounting to £1403.00 to be shared between Seion Chapel and Hope House Children’s Hospice, Morda
