Olive Clarke - The funeral has taken place of Mrs Olive Clarke who lived in Oswestry and passed away at Brook House Residential Home on November 20th 2014, aged 93 years. She leaves two nephews and five nieces. Olive was born in Oswestry, lived through the Blitz in London, and moved back to Oswestry in 1984.
The service at Pentrebychan Crematorium was conducted by Rev David North.
Family mourners were Carolin Roberts-Jones (niece) and husband George rep Mrs Muriel Sinclair. Peter Sinclair (nephew) rep Andrew Sinclair and family, Ann Jones (niece) and husband Mike, Jean Morgan (niece), John Ellis (nephew) and wife Angela, James Ellis, Hilary Davies (niece) and husband Frank and daughter Rachel, Janet Ellis (niece), Debbie Owen and husband Paul with Samantha, Daisy Morgan rep Deon and Hattie, Paul Sinclair rep Debbie, Melanie Saywell rep Mark, Matthew and Emma, Mrs Sharon Cattell rep Andrew, Charlotte and William.
Other mourners were Muriel Jones rep Michael Jones and Reg and Pam Mason, Mr and Mrs Nigel Woodward, Carmel Clarke rep Corrina W. Roberts, Doreen Hood rep Mary Walsh and Mrs Morris, Brenda Smith rep Sydna Colbert, Mark Woodward rep Rachel Woodward, John and Sara McSweeny and Stephen Lovatt.
The family wish to thank everyone for their kindness at this sad time and for their generous donations in favour of The Alzheimer's Society. We would also like to thank Oswestry Care Ltd and Shropshire Care Ltd (Bluebird Care Shropshire) for looking after Olive in her home.
Special thanks to Brook House Residential Home who took her in when she was so ill, and made her last few weeks as comfortable as possible. No one could have done more; no one could have done it better - thank you so much. Finally, thank you to David Davies & Sons Funeral Directors for a friendly and efficient service.
