Karen Pierpoint - The funeral has taken place of Karen Pierpoint of The Gables, Old Chirk Road, Gobowen, who passed away, surrounded by her loving family and friends, at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital on August 6th 2015, aged 51 years. She leaves loving husband Carl and sons Ben, Joe and Josh.

The service at St. Oswald's Parish Church, Oswestry was followed by a private interment in Pradoe Churchyard, attended by the family only. Ushers were Andrew Edwards and Jason Pierpoint. Bearers were husband Carl and sons Ben, Joe and Josh.

Family mourners were Betty Edwards (mother), John Edwards (brother), Sue and Brian Carsley (sister and brother-in-law), Lynn and Robert Drury (sister and brother-in-law), Doris Edwards, Jenny Best, John and Kate Edwards, Rose and Ken Pierpoint (mother-in-law and father-in-law), Phillip and Amanda Pierpoint, Kim and Sam, Simon and Jeanette, Dan and Ash, Adam and Laura, Oliver and Kate, Seb and Holly, Sara, Paul and Kate, Andrew and Karen, Margaret and Carl Evans and Ann Marie, Paul, Phillip and Chris Lindop, Ann and David Evans Rep Mary and Dave Jones, Les and Doris Hyde, Joe and Iris Bevan, Roger and Lyn Jones Rep Den and Kath Jones, Paul and Sheila Jones Rep Ernest and Barbara Jones.

There were many more family and friends present, too numerous to mention.

The family would like to thank everyone for the kindness shown to them at this sad time, for the cards and messages of sympathy, attendance at the funeral and generous donations amounting to £2500, which will be divided equally between The Hayley Higginson Trust and Hope House Children's Hospice.

Special thanks to Michelle Grace and Ann Netherwood for a lovely and uplifting service, Dr Edmondson at the Caxton Surgery, W. E. Price Funeral Directors and Andrew Hughes for his kindness and compassion.
