Dennis Bryan Hopkins

HOPKINS Dennis Bryan (known as Bryan) Sadly passed away at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital on 23rd December, 2021 aged 74 years. Beloved husband of the late Cathy Hopkins, father to Holly and David Hopkins and sister to Heather Porter. The funeral will take place at St Oswald's Parish Church, Oswestry on Tuesday 25th January, 2022 at 11am followed by the cremation at the Emstrey Crematorium, Shrewsbury at 12.30pm. Very saddened to hear the news on Bryan, a good friend of my father Colin Lodwick, who I know will miss him very much. I remember Bryan very fondly from back in the 70s and 80s and worked with his late brother at North Wales Newspapers. Condolences to the family - Mark Lodwick

Bryan (Hoppy) and I were good friends back in the sixties. We both went to the Oswestry College and in the college photo taken in June 1963, we are seen sitting together in the front row. A loyal friend, a good goalkeeper and although I have not seen him for nearly 60 years, I still remember him well. My sincere condolences to Bryan's family and his many friends.
