ROTARIANS have been spreading the fit on keeping fit and healthy.
Whitchurch Rotary Club welcomed shoppers to a Health Awareness Day in Bredwood Arcade near Tesco on Saturday.
Nurses from Whitchurch Community Hospital offered free blood pressure checks and advice.
Rotarian Walter Schafer told how the club holds the event every year along with prostate cancer checks every September.
He said that it was "Rotary at work in the town", adding it was a way of "giving back" to the community for its support.
He added that the events get a good response and anyone with high blood pressure is asked to speak with their doctor.
Meanwhile, Rotarians in Wem offered blood pressure tests and advice on diabetes at the Co-operative Food car park in Isherwoods Way.
The Rotary Club of Ellesmere welcomed 116 people to its event at th town's Tesco.
