POLICE have appealed for information on the death of a woman after a car crash near Wem.
The woman died after her Renault Clio she was driving hit a hedge in Wem Road, Harmer Hill at around 11am on Friday.
Spokesman Claire Brown said that two ambulances, a paramedic officer, a community first responder and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford were sent to the scene.
She added: “On arrival, crews were told the driver of the car, a woman, had suffered a medical emergency prior to the collision.
“Ambulance staff performed CPR and also administered advanced life support but sadly it became apparent that nothing could be done to save her and she was confirmed dead at the scene.”
Anyone who was on the road and saw what happened, or has dashcam footage, is asked to contact West Mercia Police on 101, quoting reference 209s 050419.
