Bowlers in Whitchurch enjoyed a nice afternoon for putting their sporting talents to good use and raising money for charity last week.
Chester Road Bowling Club held a ‘Fun Day’ last week when members and friends raised £280 for charity.
Around 30 bowlers took part in a 'triples' competition organised by Colin Meikle, with many of the participants new to bowling this spring.
Colin said: "A good time and lots of fun was had by all.
"There was a draw and refreshments to buy."
The winning trio Bob Charlesworth, Eilidh Meikle and Colin himself.
