A POWER cut in Whitchurch is currently affecting several town centre addresses.
Addresses in the SY13 postcode are affected, with Tesco and Caru Coffi two businesses without power, along with various homes and businesses in Chester Road and High Street.
Power suppliers SP Network say the power cut was reported at around 11.30am, and will not be fixed until around 1.30pm.
A spokesman for SP Network said: "There is a power cut affecting the SY13 postcode area of Whitchurch. We had no advance warning of this and only became aware of it at 11.28am.
"Our control centre will attempt to reset the network remotely to restore power in stages, and we will also send our next available engineer to attend site.
"Our team will work to get your power back on as quickly and as safely as possible, and we expect the power to be restored by 1.30pm.
"Once they arrive, or when we receive any update regarding the cause, we will be able to provide you with more information.
"We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience"
