THE much-loved Malpas Yesteryear Rally will not take place in 2021, event organisers have confirmed.
The event, which has been running since 1972, was due to take place in September.
But owing to the continuing Covid-19 pandemic, the event has been cancelled for the second year running, with the 2020 event also not taking place.
Chairman of the Yesteryear Rally, John Blackwell, said the decision to cancel the event was not easy.
"We hope everyone is keeping safe in these difficult times a lot of people have been asking us whether the Malpas yesteryear rally will take place this year," said John.
"We can now confirm that sadly the Malpas rally is cancelled for 2021.
"It has not been an easy decision but for the safety of all our traders exhibitors and general public the committee decided unanimously to cancel and we look forward to seeing you all in 2022."
