A CIVIC society is preparing to hold its first face-to-face meeting since the start of the coronavirus pandemic.
Members of Wem Civic Society will gather for the first meeting since the beginning of 2020 on Tuesday, August 17, starting at 7.30pm.
It will be held in Wem Town Hall in the main hall downstairs.
The meeting will start with some brief society news and be followed by Neil Robinson of Second Chapter Books in Shrewsbury talking about ‘What makes a book valuable?’.
Members can bring up to three books for Neil to look at but please note he will not be providing a sale price for the books.
The society asks that people take sensible precautions and wear masks to protect other people particularly those who are more vulnerable.
The talk is free to members of the society; non-members can attend on the payment of £2.50.
Limited refreshments will be available.
