HOUSE prices in Whitchurch increased by six per cent over the last 12 months, figures show.
This increase is lower than the Shropshire-wide trend, which has seen property prices in the area achieve 20.9 per cent annual growth – the highest in the West Midlands.
The majority of sales in Whitchurch during the last year were detached properties, selling for an average price of £307,539.
Terraced properties sold for an average of £148,797, with semi-detached properties fetching £174,444.
The average Shropshire house price in June was £256,199.6128 – a 3.9 per cent increase on May.
Overall, sold prices in Whitchurch over the last year were six per cent up on the previous year and six per cent down on the 2018 peak of £225,762.
