THERE is a fresh face at St John's Methodist Church in Whitchurch with the appointment of a new minister.
Reverend Rob Weir left the church for a new appointment in North Yorkshire in July and Reverend Donna-Marie Broadbent-Kelly has taken up the vacant post.
As well as St John's Rev Donna will also look after methodist churches in Tallarn Green and Malpas.
Church member Chris Crowther invited people to welcome Rev Donna next week.
She said: "We welcome our new minister and her family, who have moved here from the Vale of Aylesbury.
"Rev Donna will have pastoral care of several Methodist churches, including Tallarn Green and Malpas.
"St. John’s Methodist Church is part of the Cheshire South Circuit, and a Circuit Welcome Service is planned to take place in Nantwich on Sunday, September 5 at 5pm.
"However, we would like to invite other church leaders and members and the people of Whitchurch to meet Rev Donna at a meet and greet' coffee morning at St. John’s on Thursday, September 2 between 10am and 12noon.
"If you haven’t time for a coffee, just call in to say hello.
"Coffee will be served in a Covid secure way.
"Rev Donna’s first service at St. John’s will be on Sunday, September 12 at 10.30am.
"All are welcome."
