CHESTER Racecourse is thanking NHS and care home workers for their hard work during the pandemic by offering heavily discounted County Concourse tickets to the Season Finale on Saturday, October 2.
Tickets will be priced £10 – an 80 per cent discount.
All proceeds from these ticket sales will go to five local charities that have provided much needed support to those impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The charities being supported are:
- The Chester and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust Charity
- Chapter Mental Health Charity
- The Hospice of the Good Shepherd
- KidsBank Chester
- Chester Women's Aid
County Concourse tickets are some of the most popular at Chester Races, so NHS and care home workers can look forward to a memorable day.
The enclosure overlooks the Final Furlong and provides wide access across the racecourse including the Dee Stand, Tattersalls, County Stand, County Champagne Bar, Paddock Areas and Pavilion Lawn. Ticketholders can walk freely around both sides of the track and see the horseracing from every angle.
Andrew Morris, director of racing at Chester Racecourse, said: “The past year and a half have been hard for us all. But no one has had it more difficult than the incredible staff who have worked in the NHS and care homes across the country throughout the pandemic.
"Putting their own lives and health on the line to protect the most vulnerable in our society from an invisible enemy has been a challenge unlike any faced by generations alive today.
“We are delighted to be able to reward the incredible hard work of our NHS and care home workers with this amazing offer for the final race day of the Chester 2021 season. We look forward to welcoming them to what will be a special day of racing.”
Chester Racecourse itself was turned into a mass vaccination centre earlier this year with staff from the racecourse volunteering to support the vaccination effort.
Now that race days are able to run as normal, this is the perfect time for NHS and care home workers to take a break and enjoy a day at the races.
Tickets can be purchased from the Box Office at Chester Racecourse (open Monday-Friday, 9.30am-5pm). To redeem the offer, tickets must be purchased in person at the Box Office and NHS or care home staff ID badges or other proof of employment must be shown. This offer can only be used for two tickets per person and tickets are sold on a first come first served basis.
The Budweiser Brewing Group Season Finale takes place on Saturday, October 2 at Chester Racecourse. This is the final fixture of the racing season and features a seven race card.
