AN INDEPENDENT petrol station in Whitchurch has urged motorists that there is no need to panic over news of fuel shortages.
On Thursday and Friday a small number of petrol stations around the UK closed owing to a lack of lorry drivers.
But DA Roberts, which is based on the A41 in Grindley Brook, says its supply of petrol and diesel will remain unaffected, as it has its own fleet of drivers.

A spokesman for the company reassured customers.
They said: "After the reports regarding fuel shortages in the national press and TV, we would like to assure all our forecourt customers that we do not have any availability issues.
"We have arrangements in place with Texaco to use our own transport to keep our site replenished, so there is no need to panic buy."
