WHITCHURCH stormed back to beat Malvern 41-19 and climb the Midlands West One league table.
The hosts endured a nightmare start with two tries and a conversion seeing the visitors establish a 12 point lead inside the opening five minutes.
The Edgeley Road men woke up and pummelled the visitor's line, scoring from a catch and drive courtesy of Steve Bloore.
A period of pressure from the home side followed and youngster Tom Stone crossed to further reduce the arrears before a second try from Bloore saw the hosts lead for the first time on the stroke of half-time.
However just as the half was drawing close, Malvern made a rare visit to the home 22 and a fine move saw them score to re-establish their lead.
The second-half was all Whitchurch with the forwards taking no prisoners and allowing the backs to show their own skills.
Centre Henry Hockenhull cut a scintillating line to score close in and the floodgates opened.
Joe Mullock scored his trademark cut and dash to cross close in and Tom Stone scored his second before Steve Bloore bulldozed his way through several defenders to cross.
The rout was completed when the returning Jack Furnival crashed through the middle to score.
Skipper Danny Nicholas converted all second half tries complete a resounding margin of victory.
Meanwhile Whitchurch IIs ran amok in a 93-0 win at home to Oswestry IIs.
Saturday sees Whitchurch hit the road for a trip to Newbold on Avon.
