The White Lion is a community owned pub in the quaint village of Ash, a stone throw from the market town of Whitchurch.
This beautiful pub has been at the heart of the Ash community for over 250 years, welcoming locals and visitors to enjoy excellent fare and a good natter.
Purchased by the local community, and re-opened after a period of closure and renovation in May 2018.
A delightful 17th century pub hosts fortnightly bridge club, a monthly book club and a monthly quiz.
The former lounge is now a pleasant dining room/lounge
The beer garden has also been updated with a superb display of wild flowers, adding colour and interest throughout the summer.
Over the years the pub has provided freshly cooked, locally sourced food and an excellent range of drinks.
The pub prides itself on providing fantastic real ale and a vast range of lagers and is renowned for its gin and cocktails.
General manager Shaun Embrey said: "We also provide a food takeaway service, offering customers great pub classics, packaged in the most sustainable and recyclable containers available.
"We are going from strength to strength here at the White Lion as we wade the turbulent tide the industry is experiencing and we are extremely optimistic for the years to come.
"We look forward to seeing you over the festive season."
