BBC RADIO 4 regular and creator of John Peel's Shed, John Osborne will be bringing A Supermarket Love Story to Whitchurch.
This is an Inn Crowd Arts Alive event and will be taking place at the Dodington Lodge Hotel at 4pm on Sunday, February 27.
John has made his name writing poetry, books, scripts and stories for BBC Radio 4.
He also created the Sky One sitcom After Hours.
A spokesperson said: "It is a wonderful Sunday afternoon's entertainment.
"It is a story about supermarkets and the people who use them.
"Love will bloom, lives will continue as they always have and you will meet two paramedics by the crisps.
"As staff untuck their shirts and sit on kick stools stacking shelves we join them all for a storytelling feast, and find that every aisle really does tell a different story.
"John waves words to create wonderful worlds out of the most ordinary situations."
The event is suitable for those at 14 and over and tickets are £5.
To buy tickets call the Dodington Lodge Hotel on 01948 662539 or 07506724572 or you can buy online on www.artsalive.co.uk
