TWO children from Wem have been thanked for raising £240 for Shropshire Wildlife Trust after officially presenting it on Friday.
Molly Bateson, six, and her older brother, Leo, aged nine, presented the money on February 23, at Theatre Severn, Shrewsbury, during a celebration of the Mosses Banners, which was also created by young people from Wem.
Both Molly and Leo were inspired to raise the money because of their love of the countryside and wildlife.
Shropshire Wildlife Trust said the money they raised would make a big difference.
Anna Martin, Mosses Marches Mosses events officer for the Trust, said: "It is fantastic that Molly and Leo thought about how they could support the natural world.
"What a great achievement.
"Their donation will help our work to make nature more accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
"All the staff at the Shropshire Wildlife Trust would like to say a big well done."
With this success, the children are already looking new ways to raise money in the future.
