North Wales Police are appealing for information to help trace the driver of a blue coloured car which had seen the white Ford Transit shortly before the collision on Sunday, June 12.
Shortly before 6pm North Wales Police received a report of a two-vehicle collision on the A525 near to its junction with the A539 for Hanmer which involved a white Ford Transit van and a red coloured Ford Focus.
Police have now confirmed that the male driver of the van was pronounced dead at the scene.

He said police were looking for information regarding a blue-coloured car, possibly a BMW or similar, which was travelling from the direction of Whitchurch towards Bangor-on-Dee.
He added: “I am appealing to the driver of that vehicle to please make contact with us to assist with our ongoing investigation.
“Equally I am also appealing to anybody who may have been travelling along the A525 around the time of the collision to make contact with us.
“Our thoughts remain with the man’s family and friends, who are now being supported by a specially-trained Family Liaison Officer.”
Anybody who may have information that could assist with the ongoing investigation is urged to contact officers at the Roads Policing Unit via the live webchat or by calling 101, quoting incident number B085032.
