Air enthusiasts in north Shropshire caught a glimpse of the world's most famous display team as the Red Arrows circled the area on their way to Cosford Air Show this weekend.
RAF Cosford Air Show provided the venue for around 50,000 people from across Britain to see more than five hours of flying displays and more than 100 exhibitions and displays on the ground.
The famous Red Arrows topped the bill and plane fans were able to capture the renowned team at RAF Shawbury prior to the big event – and they flew over St Martins and Prees on their way to the venue on Sunday afternoon.
Members of the Advertizer Camera Club made the most of the visit, taking pictures both of the team on the runway at Shawbury, and in flight as they zoomed through the skies of north Shropshire – their second flyover of the area in a week after the team passed Llanymynech on their way to the Isle of Man TT last Tuesday.
Others taking to the skies included the RAF Typhoon display team and Rafale solo display, RAF Falcons, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and an RAF F35B Lightning.
Displays of Typhoons, Chinooks, the French Rafale and the Belgian F16 also thrilled fans.
Red Arrows Squadron Leader Graeme Muscat said: "It's fast, it's dynamic, it's exciting. We do what we do best, which is put on a great show for the crowd."
