Mike McDonald, the town clerk for Whitchurch Town Council said the town council hope the festival will boost the high street
He added:"From our perspective, it is to encourage the festival to take place after a couple of challenging years.
"And to drive tourism and events within the town which will hopefully impact on the high street.
"It is a long standing festival and clearly we want to support activities within the town."
