A MAN was detained in Whitchurch after drugs were found on him after he was stopped and searched by police.
On Friday, August 5, officers from Whitchurch Safer Neighbourhoods Team (SNT) seized cannabis from the man after he was stopped searched in Jubilee Park.
Sergeant Tim Lever from Whitchurch SNT said drugs would not be tolerated.
He added: "Whitchurch SNT officers have just stop searched a male in Jubilee park and seized a quantity of cannabis.
"Great teamwork from the PCSO that identified the suspicious circumstances to the PC that searched the individual, who is currently being dealt with at the station.
"I was also in attendance and have made it clear to all those present that controlled drug offences will not be tollerated in this or any other town in North Shropshire."
