A POPULAR park in Whitchurch has received a grant from a well-known charitable trust.
Queensway Playing Field received funds from the Grocott Family Charitable Trust which will go towards maintaining the area for the community.
Committee member Jane Caine said she is grateful for the continued support and hopes more people will get involved in helping look after the park.
She added: "Queensway Playing Field has received a grant off the Grocott Family Charitable Trust.
"We are very grateful for their continued support.

"The park takes an increasing amount of money to maintain and to improve the area for all local residents.
"We are a small committee and are always looking for new members and ideas.
"The commitment of supporters can be as much or as little as you are willing to give examples of help needed are litter picking, strimming, mowing and fund raising.
"It is rewarding work and you are supporting the community .
