A WHITCHURCH bar will be hosting a gin and wine nights this autumn.

Luke's Cafe Wine Bar in High Street will be hosting an evening with The Shropshire Distillery on Thursday, September 29 and an Italian wine tasting evening on Thursday, October 13.

The bar owner Vikki Beazley said people will be able to sample their favourite drinks and that the events have been sell outs previously.

She added: "Lukes Cafe Wine Bar has been here for over three years now and those who frequent the bar have had fun nights, great conversations and made countless connections.

"Luke's are soon to be hosting a couple of interesting events.

"Luke's believe in keeping it local and will be hosting an evening with The Shropshire Distillery Company.

"A married local couple with a passion for making great gins, they will talk us through their story and you can sample all of their gins and you will be able to chose your favourite to enjoy as a full serve.

Also on October 13, there will be an Italian wine tasting evening with six wines to try and nibbles to complement them.

"They have been a sell out in the past and being such a small and cosy place will no doubt fill up quickly."
