AN INVESTIGATION into claims made about volunteers of a scout group near Whitchurch has concluded no rules were broken.
A complaint was made in June this year against some volunteers from Malpas Scouts accusing them of consuming alcohol while looking after young people.
Following the complaint, an investigation was conducted by the National Safeguarding Team.
Andrew Thorp, the media relations manager, for the Scouts Association said the investigation concluded no rules were broken.
He explained: "We are aware of this case and we welcome the opportunity to comment.
"The National Safeguarding Team are independent from local scouting and have investigated this complaint.
"It was raised with us in June.
