A ROAD traffic collision has triggered a major emergency response in Malpas after a vehicle landed on its roof, trapping a person inside.
Two fire engines, one from Malpas and another from Crewe, were joined by land and air ambulance crews on Bickley Lane at around 3.26pm today (Wednesday, September 21).
The road has been closed at both ends and firefighters are stabilising the vehicle ready for the release of the casualty.
Updated, 4.18pm:
The casualty has now been freed from the vehicle and he is in the care of paramedics.
One fire engine remains at the scene.
Updated, 4.31pm:
The scene has been handed over to police and both fire engines have now left.
