A BALE of straw on fire in Whitchurch on Thursday needing putting out by firefighters from the town.
One crew from the town was sent to Ash Lane shortly after 3.15pm, after a report of a fire in the open, with an incident support unit also present.
Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) said that the one bale of straw ablaze was put out by using a fire fogging lance.
A stop message confirming no further assistance was needed was sent to control at shortly before 3.45.
