WHITCHURCH firefighters were called out to a fire in the open caused by burning household rubbish on Monday evening.
One crew from the town was sent to Black Park Road at around 5.10pm after a report of the open fire, which came from the rubbish.
Firefighters used a hosereel jet to put out the blaze.
A stop message was sent to control shortly before 5.40pm confirming no further assistance was needed.
