THE owner of a new technology store 'cannot wait' to open in the high street in Whitchurch next month.
Matt Konopielko is the owner of Phone Clinic and he plans to open the store in December, although an official date has not been announced yet.
His new business will be one of many in the old Poundstretcher premises in the High Street, which has remained empty for a number of years, and he admitted the build-up to the opening is giving him mixed emotions.
He said: "It is exciting, but stressful as well.
"Obviously, there is a lot of stuff to be done.
"But yes we cannot wait to move in."
The business has been online for the least two years and Matt decided to open a new store in the High Street following positive feedback from customers for its online service.
Matt will be selling products and offering repair services for electrical products like TVs and laptops.
He said: "There is going to be a repair service for all sort of technology products from phones, laptops and TVs.
"Anything which has got a motherboard inside we can repair.
"We will be selling gaming products and all the electronic items like laptops, computers, phones and tablets."
The store will be offering computer training and Matt said people have already been contacting him about when the store is opening and about video games.
"Lots of people, especially elderly people struggle with technology, so we will be offering one-to-one training for them," he explained.
"As soon as we posted on Facebook that we are opening, people were contacting us.
"We are getting quite a lot of messages every day.
"People are asking when we are going to be open and where the shop is going to be based.
"They are getting excited.
"People are saying that it is something we need in town, especially for gaming.
"Gaming is really popular."
The owner of Phone Clinic will be working with brands he has worked with for his online business.
Matt added: "We do not want to be dealing with cheap products which are not going to last.
"We will be mainly focusing on big brands and premium brands, which we are already working with.
"So we know they are good products which will last."
