WEM Town Council has announced it is looking for a new councillor following the resignation of one of its members.
Councillor Michael Crawshaw resigned in January and the local authority is looking for a candidate to represent the East Ward in the town.
There is a 14-day period to find candidates for the post.
Town clerk Penny O'Hagan said: "Vacancy for a councillor public notice is hereby given that a casual vacancy has occurred in the office of councillor for the East Ward following the resignation on January 26 of Cllr Michael Crawshaw.

"Rule 5(2) of the Local Elections (Parishes and Communities) (England and Wales) Rules 2006 now applies.
"The rule allows 10 electors for the Wem Town Council East Ward in which a casual vacancy has arisen to request the returning officer to hold an election to fill the vacancy."
