A FLOWER club in Malpas has welcomed a guest speaker who put on a display for the club during its February meeting.
Malpas Flower Club welcomed florist, Leanne Williams to its meeting and she put on a display titled 'Serendipity.'
Ms Williams spoke about her life and club member, June Davies, was pleased with how it went.
She added: "Malpas Flower Club welcomed Leanne Williams to their February meeting with a title of 'Serendipity.'
"Her first arrangement was of spring flowers using five jam jars in an oblong container.
"It was very impressive.
"The second one had a Scottish theme using bio foam with a variety of greenery including spruce, dried teasel, eucalyptus and lots more.
"The third arrangement was inspired by Bermuda where she had lived for four years.

"She used large greenery with exotic flowers.
"The fourth arrangement was inspired by the green hills of her home in Wales.
"Next was a simple but very effective hand tied arrangement using beautiful roses.
"She finished her demonstration using beautiful pink flowers and again a lovely pink orchid.
"Leanne entertained us with the story of her life with flowers and how she became involved with flowers from a very early age.
"She now has a florist shop in her home town of Welshpool.
"We also had a very successful trip to Manchester early in February to see the wonderful show Mamma Mia.
"Visitors are always welcome."
