AN AWARD-WINNING musician will be coming to Whitchurch next month.
North Shropshire Folk will be welcoming Dublin musician, Daoiri Farrell, for his third visit to the town on Saturday, April 22.
Daoiri, who is a previous two-time winner of the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, will be performing at the Talbot Theatre.
An event spokesperson said: "North Shropshire Folk is delighted to welcome back winner of two BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards Dublin musician Daoiri Farrell for his third visit to Whitchurch's Talbot Theatre in the Leisure Centre.
"The former electrician, who decided to become a musician after seeing Christy Moore perform on Irish TV, will be playing at 8pm on Saturday, April 22.

"He has been described by Irish Music as 'singlehandedly spearheading a resurgence of the authentic in Irish folk music' and he is rightly in demand all over the world.
"Daoiri has been described by some of the biggest names in Irish folk music as one of the most important singers to come out of Ireland in recent years.
"He has just released his much anticipated fourth album 'The Wedding Above In Glencree' which he says 'combines the rawness of my first album, the impact of my second album and the beauty of my third album.'
"He is a wonderfully entertaining singer, musician and storyteller."
