WHITCHURCH will once again be the centre of attention for UK wrestling fans when the town hosts live bouts next month.
Superior Wrestling will take over the Civic Centre on Saturday, April 22 and the event organisers are promising a night to remember.
Fans attending the event will be able to meet their favourite wrestlers and have a photograph with them.
Shropshire-born star Luke Basham and the popular Ashley Dunn will be among the many stars to take to the ring that weekend and promoter Ed Dale is expecting a tough competition.
He said: "Popular UK wrestler, The Northern Bevyweight Drill will clash with Luke Basham in a hard-hitting and unmissable bout.

"Local fans will be behind Shropshire wrestler Basham as he takes on very tough competition.
"Also appearing will be internationally travelled wrestling sensation Ashley Dunn. He will be aiming to get his revenge on a wrestler who is making a great name for himself at shows across the UK, the highly entertaining Jason Joshua."
One of the main attractions of the event will be the World Championship Contenders tournament.
Mr Dale said: "This show will include a World Championship Contenders tournament main event match where six wrestlers will battle it out for a chance to become the next contender for the inaugural Superior Wrestling World Championship.
"Competing in this huge match will be fan favourite Buster Ellis who is best known for making his entrance in a shower of rose petals and strolling to the ring in his bright red robe."
Mr Ellis said he can't wait to get in the ring, commenting: "To be announced for the six-pack challenge main event I was very happy because I love walking through that entrance curtain at every single Superior show.
"I love the people of Whitchurch I need to do this not just for myself but for every single member of the Superior crowd."
Mr Dale believes holding the event in the town will beneficial for Whitchurch.
He said: "Fans from across the UK will travel to Whitchurch spending money at local businesses and even staying locally to attend this event. "As with the previous shows this show will bring people from across the UK to Whitchurch who may not otherwise visit the town.
"This of course has a positive impact on the local economy whilst putting Whitchurch on the map."
The event at Civic Centre begins at 2.30pm.
