A FLOWER Club in Malpas welcomed a guest speaker who 'serenaded' members during their March meeting.
Malpas Flower Club welcomed florist, Wendy Gravestone, who put on a display entitled 'Florade Serenade' featuring six demos.
Club member June Davies was pleased with how the event went.
She said: "At Malpas Flower Clubs meeting on March 20 the demonstrator was Wendy Gravestone from Burnley with the title 'Florade Serenade.'

"Her first arrangement was very unusual and the music at the end was Louis Armstrong singing What a Wonderful World.
"For her second one she used blue feathers and orange strelitza and gerberas finishing with Alfie Boe singing Some Enchanting evening.
"With the coronation in mind she used red,white and blue flower in four jam jars which were placed in a container shaped like a crown.
"The music was Frank Sinatra singing Moon River.
"With NAFAS national show at Gloucester Cathedral in mind, her arrangement was a large arch with orange and yellow flowers, perfect for Easter in church.
"Her music was Somewhere Over The Rainbow.

"The sixth and last arrangement was perfect for a Diamond Anniversary with lilac and pink flowers finished with a large pink Orchid.
"She finished the lovely demonstration with a beautiful poem.
"All the arrangements are raffled off at the end and it always is a thrill if you win one.
"Visitors are always welcome."
