A PUB near Whitchurch has been named as one of the best in the UK at a national awards.
The Swan at Marbury is one of 15 pubs across the country which has scooped a prestigious Regional Winner title in the 2023 National Pub & Bar Awards.
The Wrenbury Road pub was crowned the best in the North West region.
On its website, the family-owned country pub is described as 'charming', offering 'pleasing food and drink'.
It reads: "Marbury is a charming rural village and The Swan is a charming rural pub.
"We have pleasing food and drink, including wines that we blend and import ourselves, comfortable and airy surroundings and our staff try their best to be friendly and welcoming.
"Lots of people come to us specifically for the good food, others come to visit the church or to walk in the beautiful surrounding countryside.
"Whatever your reason, we'd love to see you and think you'll like what we've got to offer."
